A SABRE & A STILETTO!!!

Dating: mid-16th Century

Provenance: Northern Italy

Description: Curved, single- and false-edged blade, with six long grooves of which only three reach the tip, the first part is marked \GENOA\” among toothed crescents; sculpted iron hilt, countercurved quillons decorated with bas-relieved leaves ending in the shape of warrior’s heads in-the-round; long rectangular center of crossguard, chiselled with a human figure lying down; the pommel is chiselled as the quillons’ ends; wooden grip covered with iron wire-binding, with moor’s heads.
